Go for it Bro - life is no rehearsal. Take what you can, while you can.

Nice stats on that guitar. I will point out some things that I personally wouldn't get it for, but really, it's all about personal taste:
1. I hate I mean HATE Les Paul Body styles.
2. The shorter scale length will make it harder to do a lot of down tuning (I rarely play in standard 'e').
3. The pickups would HAVE to be replaced for me, adding another $150 or so to the price.

Agree on the pick-ups. Leave the body to Slash lol... I don't like them either, and very uncomfortable.
Their craftsmanship isn't that great on the Epiphone line either... Korean or Chinese made... slapped together real fast like a mid-range Ibanez.
I do like the finish though... but I'd rather have that finish on an older EVH Music Man.
This is my current rig. Korean I think, not a solid piece of wood obviously.. nice low end EMG's in it though. Paired with my Peavy Valve King amp... it sounds great with 0 buzz. But even brand new... I have to take it into a shop to work out the manufacturing bugs. They just aren't an old American Gibson or Fender anymore.

I've always loved the look of the Les Paul mainly because Page is my favorite guitarist.
