I'd have to say i am more impressed with Intel chips as of late... but there are huge reasons why I will still stick with AMD.

For one, I have never built my own machine w/ an Intel chip. Always have been happy with AMD... still currently use a 4200+ socket 939 x2.

Price... Intels are about twice as much now for equal performance... I never have to have the latest and greatest obviously... but even for a mid-range chip.... way too much.

Nah... 1x 1GB 4850 for now. Might try Crossfire in the near future. No overclocking here either. The performance difference in real world for overclocking isn't near as major as it used to be in years past. The only thing good about overclocking these days really is just showing off numbers. I'm to old to care about bragging these days. hehehehe

It's actually sitting right next to this PC burning in. I had to return the video card as I ordered the wrong one so there was a delay getting it up and running.

Intel sure dropped the ball when they came up with the new mounting system for 775 and now 1366 socket motherboards. The stock heat sink is TERRIBLE and there's not a good selection of aftermarket ones yet either.

Running a little warmer than I prefer right now. Sitting at about 52c idle.

Got a 5.9 on the Windows Experience Index. My Core 2 Duo only got 5.5.

I'm about to install 3DMark Vantage and will let you know what that score is. I'm sure your beast will destroy it though. Smile
