How old is your computer??? It almost sounds like your burner has gone bad... Either that, or check your device manager... It could be a driver conflict or something similar...

Good luck...

You could try uninstalling the drivers for the DVD and then reboot to let Windows "discover the device" again and reinstall the drivers. Also, this is a stupid question, but you have turned the machine all the way off and back on right? Not just a restart or sleep or hibernation, but no power at all...

They get installed automatically by Windows. You can go to device manager and uninstall them and when you next reboot Windows will reinstall them when it sees the drive.

I had that happen a while back and I just ended up with a new DVD drive. They are pretty cheap.

Or reconfigure your file... as the device that captured the footage could be at fault for spitting out the corrupt outdated data. Use http://alltoavi.sourceforge.net/

or the other popular avi conversion that should make a stable nough copy to either convert or burn.

Sometimes cheap 'quality' discs are at fault too... i.e. fry's, outpost.com... etc.

What I would do is rip it, copy it w/ nero on a good sony or tdk disc in a burner that is either a pioneer, lg, or llite-on... should be fine... unless the original capture device is bunk.
