Here you are. On an unrelated note, you can set a minimum font size in your browser if it's difficult to read words on your current settings. I can walk you through it if you let me know which browser you use.

3.4 GHz processor can't be right ... then I wouldn't be able to play it

Check the post again. There are 3 different descriptions: Minimum, Recommended, and Ideal. The 3.4 gigahertz processor is under the Ideal Setup ("For running the game smooth in 1280x1024 with High Quality graphics"). And, for the bare minimum, he would need no less than a 1.2 gigahertz processor to even be able to run the game. I decided to include all 3 so he'd have an idea of where his system measured up.

It's a missprint.

The most powerful core2-duo right now is 3.0Ghz.

I run at 1680x1050 with EVERYTHING cranked and it's smooth as silk with my 6750 processor.

I think the 3.4Ghz refers to a single core.

A 3.0Ghz dual core is a lot higher performance than what is required for the highest settings.

The "ideal" of at least 3.4Ghz is probably lower than just about any of the dual cores, if I had to guess.

Same goes for the Graphics card.
Anything higher than "ideal" suggestion of "Graphics Card: Radeon X800 or Geforce 6800", is going to run the game at highest settings easily.

In general, the game is not very hard to run.

If you can run CoD2, you should be able to run TF2 with no problems.

Huh? So it's basically saying that it requires one of the fasted single processors out there right now? I doubt that. This game is so much more less graphic intensive than everythingb else out there right now I just find it hard to believe.

But maybe since it's "Optimum" they just go with the fastest available...

Well, in my original post, I just used the first result in Google for the info. However after this discussion, I found the official page, and this was all that was listed:

Minimum: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8 level Graphics Card, Windows® Vista/XP/2000, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® Vista/XP/2000, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

So Gargaz, you can ignore the "Ideal" setting in my reply. My bad Freaky. Embarassed

These maps from this game look like ACME made them. I keep waiting for Wile E. Coyote and the ROAD RUNNER to run by me at any moment.

This game doesn't require much but is the most fun I have had playing a game although it needs a good team effort to maximize the fun meter you can still have a good time with a crapy team.

I run the game everything maxed (no Vsync) at 1280x1024 with 16x Anistropic Filtering and 4xMSAA (Anti Aliasing), highest texture settings and run the game at a constant 40fps and upwards.
The Source engine is very scalable and almost 'adapts' itself to any machine running it.

How do you find your FPS on the game? I'm assuming its a command in the console.

And, yes I agree, its extremely FUN! It'll be somewhat of pain balancing time on TF2 and COD4 (when I get it, very soon).
