FYI, I'm referring to installing the patch onto Server installations, not normal client installations.
You don't actually INSTALL CoD4 on a dedicated server. You more or less just copy files over. The patch looks for specific registry entries and if they aren't there, it aborts the install with the error Lonesome mentioned.
Funny thing is that the first patch had the same issue. Then they fixed it in the last patch, and now it's back with this one.
