I keep searching for more info on the release date, but not much luck yet. The funniest post I've seen in the forums I've visited is the guy who said that after hearing about Quake Live, that he had to seek immediate medical attention because he had an erection that lasted for more than 4 hours. For those of you that have never tried Quake 3 before, they still have a free demo out that give you an idea what the original game is like: http://www.gamershell.com/download_4291.shtml I also found a very poor quality video made by an actual beta tester: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHLjVssuK0g I still hope to get in on the beta as they increase the number of beta testers so they can stress test their servers better, if not, I will still be there on day one when it goes live. I finally got an invite to the Quake Live beta!!! The beta has been going for four months now and from everywhere I've looked it still has a 2008 release date. So it should be going live sometime this month. I still rank Quake 3 as my all time favorite game. I will let you know what I think about it and try to find a firm release date. If they haven't ruined it, it should be a lot of fun. Best of all, It's free!!! I did submit 3 email addresses, so if I get another invite I will send it to you. Here is a new video from Quake Live that I found. The quality isn't very good, but it gives you a look at the gameplay.
