It's sitting in my room. It was a good starter guitar, but after I got better I realized how crappy it was. I would really like to get a Strat one of these days since I liked the feel of the other Fender. It was only a Starcaster though.

Good news! I was counting my pennies yesterday, and I came to the conclusion that I have around $600 to spend on an amp so tubes may be more of an option. I know Morgoth is fond of the Peavey's, but has anyone got any other suggestion. I'm not saying a Peavey isn't what I want, but I would like some more input before I make this big decision.

Crates have good prices... and a solid-state sound. High wattage because it is needed. But it isn't so much the power with a tube amp. I know more about bass amps than I do guitar... and I don't even play the bass... so all I can say, is that the valve king series seems to be the top pick for an amp that at least has pre-amp tubes. Crate has made some somewhat decent full-on tube stacks... but... there are better for the $$$.
