I have been playing the Quake Wars beta but I've had the chance to log on a few times.

Just a real quick review.

From my initial thoughts this game plays very similarly to Battlefield 2142. Unfortunately I did not like 2142 due to the fact that I hate waiting to come alive, run for 10 minutes just to be shot and killed and go into the waiting period again!

The graphics are very nice although they do not allow you to bump them up to the highest setting in the beta. The game play is very smooth and I never had a crash running on Vista. I like the concept but everytime I play a new game I can't stop thinking about good old original COD and how much fun it was!

Did not like. Well, how can you at 15-20fps.

I didn't really spend much time on it due to the hardware not being "up to snuff" with it.

I may retry it when the next upgrade comes around. Judging by videos it has potential.
