A long drive home |

As some of you know I am traveling computer tech for the State of TN. I was in Johnson City yesterday which is about 2 hours from Knoxville (where I live). On my way there I saw an overturned truck on the other side of the interstate, that was about 9am. I finally finished up in Johnson City and started to head home around 4pm. I get to the part of the interstate where the wreck happened and....SCREECH! Traffic is at a dead stop! The truck that overturned...it happened at 5am...has holding explosives!  They were still cleaning it up at almost 5pm, 12 hours later! The highway patrol didn't even bother to put up detour signs at the exit before!  It ain't over yet...once I FINALLY get past the wreck...they are doing night roadwork (it gets really hot here in the south so this is not uncommon). Another hour dealy. It took me 5 and a half hours to get home, it normally takes me 2!

I did see a couple of people get into their trunk and get some snacks out. Then two truckers got out and started betting on player quaters, not the drinking game but the one where you try and throw a quarter as close to the line as possible without going over. And yes the line they were using was the center line on the interstate.
