Take a look at this picture! |

I have a digital camera that takes really nice pictures. Yet for some reason motion tends to be blurred. Here's a pic of my fish tank. The fish were swimming rather slowly, but still came out blurred. I am not very knowledgeable about cameras, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice for how to fix this?
Here’s the info on my camera:
Sony
CDMavica
Model: MVC-CD500
Most of the pictures I take look awesome, but as you can see I occasionally have issues with motion. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your shutter speed is too slow. Set that bad boy to auto and snap away. In case you are wondering how shutter speed works....For a camera to take a picture it has to open the shutter really fast to take a "still" shot. So the slower the shutter opens and closes the longer the time frame the object has to not move. Make sense?

Glock is correct.
I have the same camera. You have to up the shutter speed.
Also try and use the S and N function on your camera when snapping moving objects.

Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the advice.
I'll get my owners manual out to figure out how to do this.
Bogey - What is the S and N function that you are refering to.
Sorry, like I stated, I don't know much about cameras.
