Just wondering what was everyone's first online multiplayer game?

cod1 was the 1st .

played a lot of single player games for years , never knew it was so much more fun to play online .

Don't quite remember but it was either Legend of the Red Dragon or Usurper. Back in the mid 90's.

Played Microsoft Chess a couple of times, then it got boring.

Played Need for Speed one time for one race, with a cousin and it was no fun.
He cheated with infinite nitro, and admitted it.
Cheating takes the fun out of playing any game.
Unless the cheat is shared up front and everyone agrees to use it.

Then started CoD2.
Played this with a few cousins and didn't like them cheating all the time.
Everytime I thought I figured out the cheat being used, they would still have more.
They did have one cheat that was funny, all pistol bullets were grenades.
They could kill me from almost anywhere. Twisted Evil

Got tired of the cheating and quit playing with them.
I then started looking for an online server.
I got booted or asked to leave from a few servers.
They didn't like my negative score and didn't want me on their teams, to serious of players. Crying or Very sad

I then found and liked playing with the GOB clan, they are a great group of guys, but server was empty occassionally.
At those times I then tried uZa server 3.
Gomer and Bogey were very friendly and made me want to come back.
I eventually stuck with server 3 and Gomer finally hooked me on vent. Cool

From there I came to like the uZa clan and the regulars.
Great group of gamers! Cool

CoD2 was the first game for real live player interaction.
I basically consider it to be my first real online game.

I got my start on Ghost Recon back when Xbox Live first came out.
