just thought you guys would like to know. i just came across this and didnt see anything here about it.

he demo is going to be released officially on Friday, October 26th at 1:00PM (GMT+1). It will be exclusively available for those who pre-ordered Crysis for about 24hours via the EA downloader. On Saturday, October 27th at 1:00PM the demo will be put online for download an all public sites, so keep tracking your favourite fan site.

I have already d/l. Not sure what to think of this game yet, gonna take some more time playing; already finished the sp demo once.

I enjoyed the game - however even on my machine it struggled Sad

EDIT:

How odd, I reloaded it to give it another go and for some unkown reason it ran smooth as butter. As in around a constant 40 frames a second and upwards. It was set to medium and running a helluva lot better than it did before. So I upped the Textures, the water, the shader and post processing quality to high (allowing some nice effects in the game) and even added 2x Anti Aliasing and it still ran very playable. How odd. I may try 1280x1024 with no Anti Aliasing in a minute.

Wow. That was one of the best demos I've played in a long time. It felt like Farcry on steroids. I can currently only run it on medium (even struggles with that), but I am upgrading in the next couple of weeks to 2 gigs of ram and an 8800GTX. I just got a dual core the other day, so I'm set in that aspect.

Anyway, this game looks very promising and is already looking like a must buy for everyone that can run it.

I had the same problem. If you don't have it put a desktop shortcut up then evidently it doesn't create a program group?

It's in the bin64 (Or bin32 if you're on a 32bit os) folder.

got it to run, but it keeps shutting down my display drivers and/or freezing/crashing.

I'll just wait for the full version... and maybe a patch.
