Dual Channel question |
I have 3gigs of ddr2 ram in my comp right now, 3 1gb sticks. 2 of them are the same and 1 is different. All the same speed. Can I dual channel the two that are the same and then still use the extra 1? Would this speed up my computer?

That other thread didn't really answer my question. Can i dual channel 2 of sticks if they are the same and i guess single channel the other stick? Would that screw up my computer?

It's an All or Nothing type of thing. If you're going to dual-channel, then all sticks have to be the same, AND an even number.
