My New Car. |
|
|
Okay, okay, I got another new car this past weekend. We originally traded in my wife's Toyota Camry on the Audi, which was supposed to be turned over to the dealership this past weekend, which I posted on the forums under "My Wifes New Car." Well the body shop called me on Thursday and told me the Camry was not going to be done until this coming Friday (1/25). The dealership could not wait that long for the Camry (They held the paper work for us to bring in the Camry before sending it to finance. This really screwed us up. We needed to git rid of the Camry (7 accidents in the last 3 years and three this past year-all totalling over $20,000.00 in repairs. I do not feel that it is a safe vehicle anymore. We thought and thought for a long time and then I realized that my truck (2001 Toyota Tacoma crew cab 91,000+ miles) was paid for and we could trade in the Camry and truck on a new one for me. Heck I havent used my truck for anything but driving back and forth to work, so I thought why do I need a truck!? So I spend two days detailing the truck and yesterday I took it in. They gave me $8,000.00 for it and took the Camry again as a trade in (sight unseen). I am upside down on the Camry by about $1,500.00 so they are putting that on my new car and here is my new car.
It is a 2007 Mercedes C230. We got it used with 17,000 miles on it. Heck with my trade ins, an extended warranty through 9/2013 and 100,000 miles we were out the door for less then what a new Camry would be.
The only two hickups are: One: the body shop better damn well have the Camry done FRIDAY!!!! and Two: As I turned the corner to my street and began to drive with my new car to my home, a thought hit me and I thought "Crap, how in the hell am I going to get my 120 pound very hairy German Shepard to the damn groomer's now. Then my wife said, "Hey lets call the Kate (our daughter) to come over and pick the dog up, she has a crapy car anyway . I am very excited about both my cars and I felt that I needed to share with my friend here!

You guys worked long and hard enough to spoil yourselves a little. Enjoy your cars to the fullest - good choices too. All you need now is a Beemer to round up the German trio

Yep, Mercedes is the way to go. I used to drive one and it had absolutely no problems with it... Ever. Did cost me a lot to get it serviced, but well worth it.
Love the car. Have fun...

NICE rides Hogan. I just picked up a new ride myself. F150 4x4 Supercrew lariat 2005 only has 20,000 on it. It is like a freakin Caddy with all its perks. Leather seats heated elecltric rear slider and sunroof . Memory settings for up to 3 different drivers. Big plus since my wife likes sitting right on top of the wheel.
