Here's a first from the liberal media!

This was reported in mainstream liberal media (AKA NPR) this week.

Some sort of pest (I think they said bullworm?) that attacks cotton crops was given a bit of a setback. Farmers started planting genetically engineered cotton that was poisonous to this particular pest. Now researchers at a university somewhere down south have found the same pest in the fields of genetically engineered cotton. They have evolved to a point where they are resistant to the poisonous tendencies of the genetically engineered cotton, obviously.

But the researchers who discovered the resistant bugs, believe it or not, are the ones saying this is not proof of evolution. They are saying the resistant bugs were there the whole time; they just didn't realize it. Now that the rest of the bugs are gone, obviously the only ones left are resistant, so if they find one, they have found a resistant specimen.

I think this is the first time I have ever heard logical science reported in the mainstream news.
