Sounds like a broken Johnson rod or maybe the flux capacitor is malfunctioning!!
Or it could be as simple as a connection problem caused by your cable company going down on a temp. basis, or as Ren said, your firewall could be doing it.
I would also turn off my AntiVirus software or check the settings to make sure it's not your anti-virus.

Go to control panel admin tools then services.Make sure pnkbstr A is set to automatic.Are you using a router if so the firewall in that is good enough to protect you.If you are using another firewall or even windows firewall as i do with my router,make sure it is not blocking either pnkbstr A or B a needs to be running all the time when playing.

I was going to say it could have been the lunar wayne shaft, or the nuffer trunions, but what you said makes more sense

Having the same issues...I did the download what Meethos posted and didn't help...

| It worked the fist time.It happened several times on me & sometimes it works other times it doesnt.I had to keep trying .I dont know what causes this.
