 Freak accident at school sends boy to hospital

student at Henry Wise Wood High School remains in intensive care after a freak accident on Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesperson with the Calgary Board of Education says the 15-year-old boy had his throat slashed by a metal window blind.
The CBE says the boy was sitting next to the window when another student attempted to shut the blinds.
Paramedics treated the boy at the scene then rushed him to hospital where he is recovering in the intensive care unit.

I seem to remember back when I was in school that we were not allowed to adjust, open or close the blinds... Looks like there really was a reason for that silly rule after all...

Hmmm...... Things like that always seem suspicious. Are they trying to just cover up the truth or did that happen the way they had described. I guess crazier things have happened....

Funny, couple years back here in Calgary, trying to get the blinds down, it just came down, hit my arm and gave me a pretty large cut, didnt do anything about it tho, except cleaning it up in the washroom.
Never thought about it till now, and probally the same kind of blinds.
Sucks for that kid tho.
