Highlights for me:
-AC/DC
-Bad Company
-MODEST MOUSE!!!!
-Presidents of the USA
-System of a Down
-Steely Dan (LISTEN TO THIS GUITAR!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_sabnx9B2A)
-Steve Miller Band
-EYE OF THE TIGER!!!!
-More first album Tenacious D
Let downs :
-Let There Be Rock (Love the song, but I really wanted Back in Black or You Shook Me All Night Long)
-Guns N' Roses debuting a new song. We want PARADISE CITY please.
-Emo bands like Panic! At the Disco and a few other crap bands are included. I guess that's what happens when MTV makes the game.
-No White Stripes or Raconteurs.
-Still no Led Zeppelin. They recently stated they wouldn't have part in these games, but we all remember page lending his guitar skills to Puff Daddy. (That was a failure of a song or whatever you call this junk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eSZ9M5cHIQ)

Wait until they've both been out a week and find out which one has the best instruments. Buy the bundle for the best game, and just get a copy of the other one when you have enough money since the instruments should work with each other.

Will the drums work on both platforms? I'm leaning towards world tour mainly cuz of the drum set. I like the realism and style of them.

I doubt it, highly. Rockband is a 5-piece--4 drums and a bass petal, and World Tour is a 6-piece--3 drums, 2 cymbals, and a bass petal. So my guess is that the WT drum set won't work with Rockband.

It actually transfers over to a real electronic set so you're actually probably getting it way cheaper.

You play Guitar Hero with a regular controller?

There are some decent controller players out there, but you are holding yourself back by playing on one.

There's nothing wrong with it--I crack out the controller for some songs. There are songs that are way more fun on a controller (I'm looking at you, Cliffs of Dover) than a guitar. I play on both equally. Some songs require a guitar on expert (Dropkick DLC, Knights of Cydonia's intro, Raining Blood's solo, Holiday In Cambodia's intro, DWDTG, TTFAF) though, so gotta make sure you're skilled in both
