What does everyone recommend for someone is who is looking for a point-and-shoot camera for under $400.

For a few extra bucks I would deff. Go with a DSLR Camera

I have the Olympus E-500 ( Body only) : $256.00
With a 40-150mm Lens : $170.00

I think it is deff. worth it.
But it all depends on what you're looking to use it for.
I use mine for all types of photography. Check out my pictures I'll be posting soon.

I understand those are extremely expensive I deff. got lucky with this. I had a budget of 300 but I didn't know it came without a lens so my mom went ahead and bought me a lens too =]

If not a DSLR camera, I would go with a superzoom camera.

Now right there is where they have all the specs and whatnot on it. I have ordered my camera from this really really reliable place and I plan to order from them again. They have this camera on here running for $331.00 plus the shipping to canada is about $30.70

Their shipping is also very fast.
