I would run some antispyware programmes do a disc clean up and a defrag.

get Spybot. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html

and Ad-aware http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5&cdlpid=10045910

see what happens after that.

What keystroke problem. Do you have to hold down the key for it to finally type? If so that is a feature of Windows for users with disabilities. It is called "sticky keys" ( Rolling Eyes mind out of the gutters guys Laughing )

Go to the Control Panel and then click on Accessibilty Options. When that window comes up the first section is called Sticky Keys. If there is a check mark in the box take it out and then see what happens.

IT LIKE MISSES A KEY....

FOR EXAMPLE....

IF I WAS TYPING FIREMAN

IT MIGHT MISS THE "E"

AND I WOULD TYPE FIRMAN

AND ITS NEVER THE SAME LETTER....

ITS WEIRD

I WILL CHECK THAT OPTION ALSO, WHEN I GET BACK TO MY LAPPY!

THANKS!

NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN BEFORE

heavy use could have worn out the "E" button, as it is the most used letter. pop the keys off and have a look underneath. could be a crumb or something blocking the key being depressed the whole way.

if you're still running slow after cleaning house and hard drive, you might look into bumping up your ram... usually the cheapest upgrade. Just did it for my brother in law: spybot and adaware scans, defrag, and then decided to take it from a measly 256 up to 1gb. thing runs like a champ now.

Easy way to remove cookies etc if you are using internet explorer ,Go to tools in the top right hand corner, select internet options then click delete at the side of browsing history. You will then be given a choice to delete these, remember though some are good cookies (if thats right ) that remembers you logged into forums like ours.

Don't you play COD2 or COD4??? F is the most used key, unless you're CG, then it's the V key...
