I thought maybe he was trying to hammer it to get back into traffic and oops put it in reverse. Shocked

If he meant it, then we don't need people like that in society so lock him up for life.

No, it appeared it was deliberate, he kept gunning the motor, while the car was on top of the unit. That action alone is enough to indicate this was a deliberate act on that officer.

I just thought it was interesting that he turned on his turn signal prior to gunning it. I thought that maybe after the momentum started, he may have lost his bearings on what was happening. Also he sounded kind of old. The officer had to ask him several times to turn the car off, I took that as though he was a little confused after the crash. The throttle being held wide open could have been from the momentum and then being stuck. Also you think the car had air bags? That would have been a little confusing too. I'm not saying it was on purpose or not, but if it was I hope he really gets some severe punishment.

I don't have any respect for anyone that tries to harm a police officer.

That reminds me of the late 80's/early 90's here in Tampa. You'd pull over a car for a simple traffic or suspicious person and while you were giving your 10/20 the driver would slam it in reverse and smash your patrol car and deploy the air bag in your face! Mad

Happen on several occasions but lucky not to me.
Col there is life after active duty and ur going to love it... I've been gone now 10 years and it was my best decision!!! Very Happy
