Does anyone know the amount? |

I was just thinking about the $700,000,000,000.00 mortgage bail out that the communists in Washington passed.
They said it had to be done to save us from a collapse.
Yet the markets still took a plunge.
Does anyone know how much the markets dropped?
I'm guessing it's in the trillions $$$$$, but I don't really know.

Answer: One estimate states that the market dropped $2.5 Trillion in the month of October. But hey, only on paper right? And things are looking up at least until Tuesday!

Just 401K's across the country lost 2 Trillion.
Exxon profited 14.8 Billion.
Last time oil was $45 a barrel, it was just over a buck for regular. Now its still around 3.
Housing really isn't all that bad. It's just the people who couldn't afford what they moved in to. That's their problem. Prices were extremely inflated anyway. They are still too high for what the true value of a home is. I feel sorry for people who bought during the bubble. Surprised it took so long to burst.
I would like to know where all the money went. Who got rich?
I say, hang on tight, because we are about to see some serious inflation, while at the same time our dollar is going to gain more momentum towards zero value.
Our monetary system is shot, and it wont get fixed anytime soon while the fed is still way under-regulated... or even exists for that matter.
Im tired of paying a federal double-tax... federal, and social security that is. Might as well roll it into one.

So we are giving away $700,000,000,000.00
and the market loss for October is $2,500,000,000,000.00
And we started a trend of companies wanting more handouts.
Sounds like Socialism is better than I thought.
Maybe we should give out more money to companies that are struggling.
If you have a company that is in financial difficulty, then the only way to fix that company is to give them more money.
Then there is no need for change and everyone still has a job. Yippee!
If we don't give them more money, then they may have to actually be held accountable for thier own actions and we all know that will never work.
I think I have learned a lot in the past few months and now I want to be a communist.
I have seen the light!
We are all idiots and only politicians know what is best for us.
Thank you Washington and praise be to our new saviour Obama!
NOT!

Baker who came up with the bailout idea? Bush did. Well some hampster working under him anyway. GWB thought it was a great idea and started pushing the idea. Just like the way, congress and the senate got on board before they knew all the details and peed away 700 BILLION dollars. If anyone here votes for the incumbant up for election in their state I will give you such a pinch. Vote these morons out. make your vote really count.
