I am surprised that ABiT is bye bye. I remember when they were the number 1 mobo manufacturer out there, and even Asus couldn't touch them. Sad day that a company could have screwed up so badly.
I am probably the most proud owner of my old and current ABiT Fatal1ty AN8 there ever was. I have had the best luck with this mobo.. and it has been through hell and back and still keeps on amazing.
Before I bought it, I was looking at AOpen as a company, and they showed real promise... but they have just been too slow to catch up to the big dogs.
My next build is still a ways out yet... but I find myself without an answer for a future mobo. MSi and Asus are out of the question for me. Love EVGA vid cards, but don't want to spend more on a mobo than a harddrive. Maybe a Gigabyte.. who knows..
