I am getting a warning to activate windows. :?: Now I am getting a warning that I may be a victimi of of software counterfeiting??

Put the code in from the sticker that came with windows. if you still get a warning just ring Microsoft up, as long as you have the serial they will help you out.

Thanks Ren. :) I think it is to do with new hardware that we installed. I will have to give them a call or try what you said later on today....

How did I bring up the window to activate windows? It is gone right now.

Go to control panel then system. At the bottom of the page it should say Windows activation if it has a key in, make sure it is the right one. If an error has been made putting the serial in, than try to change it. You are allowed a few hardware installs though.

That is good to know, I did not realize that.

We put a new motherboard in.
