Post subject:  Printer Suggestion

I recently got a new printer.
My old one worked great, but I needed a wide format printer that I could print on 11 x 17 and 13 x 19 sheets of paper.
I use the large sheets for printing out CAD drawings.
So I got a brand new HP OfficeJet 7000.
Besides getting it really cheap on ebay, I suggest you get one of these if you ever need something that prints on larger than 8 1/2 x 11.
If that's your need, I must say this one is awesome!

Looks like a nice printer. How is it for printing out photos? The biggest ours does is 8x10 I believe, would be nice to print bigger photos.

I have printed some pictures on regular paper and I thought they looked great.
The only thing I have to compare it to is my old printer and it is a little better.
I know you can buy photo paper in 13"x19" and 11"x17", and this printer works with both.

Here's the manufacturers specs on quality:
Up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi color, when printing from a computer on photo papers and 1200 input dpi.
Get versatile network printing with wide format capabilities and fast speeds.
Save with the lowest cost per page vs. in-class inkjets.
Use up to 40% less energy than lasers and get professional-quality color documents and photos.

I don't know if that is good or if it meets your needs.
The best I could do would be to print a picture on photo paper and mail it to you if you would like to judge for yourself.
If you wanted to do that, just send me an email with your mailing address.
You can also email me a specific high resolution picture then you could compare it to your own printer.

Just let me know, I would be happy to do it. :P
