This is slick. If you have ever wanted to get a "short url" for a website you want to post here or send to someone in an email or (god forbid) Twitter, Digg.com has added a new feature that makes it a snap. You don't need a Digg.com account or anything, and there is nothing to install.

Just put "digg.com" before any url that you go to, and Digg will automatically shorten the url and take you to the site.

Try it out. Right click this link and open in a "new tab"

http://digg.com/www.uzaclan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=243&p=7159#p7159

That link will take you to this message in our forums, but will change the url to http://digg.com/u11OT#p7159. You can send that url to anyone or post it somewhere and when clicked it will send them here.

The links for our forums may not be long enough to bother, but for some of those hideously long links you get from some sites, it's easier than using sites like shortrul or tinyurl.

Note: For StumleUpon users (and aren't we all?) they are looking to add similar functionality to the Stumble toolbar in the next month or so. That will even handier...
