This was on sale on steam for half price at the weekend. I got it and it is excellent, and very hard at times. Here is a clip showing the actual graphics and gameplay. If you fancy it then check your PC spec. This really wants power. It is one of the first Dx11 Nvidia games. I will get a Dx11 card when the price drops, they are so expensive at the moment.

Yeah, I've had an eye on this game since it's release. But it's graphic level seemed far beyond my card. In fact, my card barely meets the recommended, GeForce 8800. So I never bothered to buy it. I read you have almost no HUD, and really have to rely on your map to figure out where you are. Basically, you CAN get lost. I still hope to try it some day, because I'm a big post-apocalyptic fan. :)

Minimum:

* Dual core CPU (any Core 2 Duo or better will do)
* DirectX 9, Shader Model 3 compliant graphics cards (GeForce 8800, GeForce GT220 and above)
* 1GB RAM

Recommended:

* Any Quad Core or 3.0+ GHz Dual Core CPU
* DirectX 10 compliant graphics card (GeForce GTX 260 and above)
* 2GB RAM

Optimum:

* Core i7 CPU
* NVIDIA DirectX 11 compliant graphics card (GeForce GTX 480 and 470)
* As much RAM as possible (8GB+)
* Fast HDD or SSD

Enabling 3D Vision

* Metro 2033 utilizes NVIDIA 3D Vision with compatible cards and hardware. To play in 3D you will require:
* NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 and above recommended
* A 120Hz (or above) monitor
* NVIDIA 3D Vision kit
* Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7

This is more impressive the more I play it. It is entirely up to you how you do the missions stealth and sneak by, or just kill everything like me :) Trouble is you are forever out of bullets, you scavenge them from the dead, then you are messing about with gas masks night vision and just generally trying to stay alive. Getting lost is easy though your compass will usually help. There are also achievements built into this, so you can go back many times and try to finish them. I really recommend this if anyone wants a great FPS and a change from Cod etc. Its confusing at first but just persevere.
