The fans got fed up of waiting for HL2 episode 3. So using source tools they remade the original Half life with different bits. It's free too  8 to 10 hours of gameplay. I have not tried it yet as I started playing Half Life 2 again, which I think was one of the best games ever made.http://www.blackmesasource.com/download.html |

Half-Life 2 was arguably the most revolutionary FPS to date. One of the greatest games I've ever played, and really brought to life physics in video games. I remember seeing the demo videos, just watching little cans get knocked over was like, "Wow! That is unbelievable!" Today, that is not so impressive, but Half-Life 2 is what brought that to video games. That said, I too am frustrated as to why there is no sequel to Half-Life 2. I think after episode one, they just weren't into it anymore. For whatever reason, they lost all interest in pursuing the franchise. I've heard "rumors" of Half-Life 3, but nothing confirmed yet. I hope to see it soon. I can't believe they would give up on one of the most influential game franchises ever. I may need to look into this mod. |
