According to Bioware, Legendary Pictures will be making a Mass Effect movie. I'm not going to get all hyped. I love the series, but game-to-movie, movie-to-game often never comes out well. Still, I hope it does well, and I hope they know what they're doing.

They should make it about the first contact wars. there is to many choices and genders for Shepard, better to just do something else in that universe

I agree. Like Star Trek, they should tell another story in the same universe. I think trying too hard to go by the original story of a game makes a movie cheesy and just stupid. Like Halo, if the movie ever is made, I actually hope they do not have the Master Chief in it. No way, that'd kill the movie right there. They should have the main character be, possibly a totally different Spartan, with new characters on a different front of the war. If they did this more often, I think games-to-movies would work a lot more.
