Just saw the new Star Trek. Really good. They have played an interesting trick with some time travel which will allow them to do a lot more with the storyline without messing with the Star Trek "canon" too much. I won't post any "spoilers", but it was fun seeing how all the characters from the original series first met. This is a non-stop action movie folks, and while there are obviously new actors for the parts, the way the characters are played is just enough like the original to feel comfortable without seeming like bad impersonations. I highly recommend it if you liked Star Trek at all, and even if you just like an action packed movie with great characters and a good storyline. It ain't "The Godfather" or anything, but I give it an 8 out of 10. |
