Thanks for all the continued support!!!
I went to check in on Tuesday and the doctor didn't like my congested nose/sinus.
From My Blog:
I see Dr. Safah. She asked me why I am sick. I tell her that when I last saw her I had a sinus infection, and then I went back to my ENT and he said I had a yeast infection in my mouth and throat from the antibiotics he gave me, because they kill the good stuff too letting the yeast grow, so he gave me stuff to clear that up then Saturday I started coughing really bad and that cleared up for the most part on Sunday. She said it was probably the sinus infection finally clearing up since no one was sick in the house and I wasn't running a fever or feeling any pressure in my ears and could hear with no issues. She wants me to get an XRay on my way out just to double check its not pneumonia or anything more serious.
So the plans are to go in Friday, get ready and get my chemo started up 6AM Saturday morning.

Thanks Thanks. My fair share... Yeah it's been sucking! My first day, Saturday, in wasn't a picnic and nothing seemed to go right. Couldn't get a blood return on my port. Couldn't get a simple blood return with a needle, stuck once, then it took 1 needle and 2 IVs just to collect 5 vials of blood because my veins suck because of all the chemo. My pic line didn't get done right the first time, or the second adjustment, or the third adjustment. Blah, hopefully the rest of my stay isn't as eventful. My second day included my Chemo being pushed off 6 hours because of another adjusting of the pic line a fourth time and this including pulling the hole line almost all the way out and then refeeding the line without any lidocane help because the catheter cannot take the chance of being poked. 7 Chest Xrays in 2 days, oh boy, Finishing up my 5th of 16 infusion of Busulfex. I get it every 6 hours... I am exhausted too, only got 6 hours of sleep in the last two nights!

Well I have gone into the hospital, and I came out the other side. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. I went in on a Saturday and 22 days later, on Transplant Day +12 I have gone home.
I finally have built up enough strength to be sitting at a computer again. For the first week home, I pretty much just laid in bed for the most part. Got up walked around which would tire me out and wanted to get back in bed.
I didn't even have the strength to get on a computer and keep up with the blog. I am in the process of catching up the blog too. Gaming, hmm, haven't had the energy to do too much of that but I just might jump on this Saturday night, we'll see!
Thanks for all the prayers and support! I'll be around!

Thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers! It means a lot! Always great to have a support group in such situations as this! http://craig.handsfreehelp.com/stem-cell-transplant-day-101The PET Scan went great. This scan looked better than any of my other scans. 2 small areas of activity were detected, but they are unsure if this is just normal uptake of glucose, or inflammation from different variables since the amounts were so small or disease left over. To be safe, these areas are going to be radiated with radiation therapy. This will include my chest and my neck. Since I had large masses in my chest, they were planning on hitting these areas anyway with radiation to shrink the size of the scar tissue left from the tumors since the tumor cell structure will not just disappear on their own. So radiation was already in the plans, just now we are going to use it to also make sure that there is no left over disease which they tell me is a common practice. This would take place 5 days a week, for 4 weeks. This process can be tiring and cause fatigue. The radiation treatment could start as early as next or the following week. Then another PET/CT Scan 3 months after that to see the results of the radiation treatment. Actual Test Results -> http://craig.handsfreehelp.com/biopsy-resultsDr. Safah was overall very pleased with the results of the PET/CT scan and is ready to move onto the final stage of her treatment which is the Radiation Therapy.
