Free Game, Free Fellowship on Team Speak, and lots of Free Fun! :idea:

Tonight at about 9:00pm est we will be playing PlanetSide 2.
Several others and myself are new to the game and don't know much, so don't worry if you are new to the game.
The game is a free download through Steam, so start downloading now and we will play later.

Come one, come all, and let's have some good old fashioned uZa Fun! 8-)

If I can get myself a new headset with a working microphone, I'll be there.

I heard Planetside 2 is not just a pick-up and play game, and that it's a bit of a learning curve, but I like battlefield, and objective-based teamwork game play, so it sounds like something I might try. Either way, I'm just hoping to have some fun like the good ole days. :)

It's actually easy if you have a team leader like F8, he is excellent at showing people the ropes. 8-)

Well, I had company over tonight, so Dellis and I could not make it. I have, however, created an account at the website and downloaded the game. Once I get my new headset, I'll see about jumping on later. :)

I am so sorry for not being there, I had plans with Lisa and I had a few drinks :shock: so by the time i got home I just passed out. Maybe A friday night next time ??

I'm a friggin procrastinator, lol. Keep saying I'm going to get a new headset and I don't do it. I'll look after work tomorrow and see if we have any legit headsets.

I have tried to update my Steam and I keep getting an error, something to do with "bootstrapper?"

I had a similiar problem and I was getting really mad, but I finally fixed it.

First try this:

If that doesn't work then try the following:
Try system restore to a point where steam worked okay.
Or try uninstalling steam and reinstalling.

I thought captain balbosa put bootstrap down by his bootstrap's? ;) LOL


many forums say to uninstall and reinstall stream. it's suggested the cause is a crappy steam update was downloaded.

here is a quote from the forum
"uninstall and reinstall steam to fix the issue. Make sure to move your game folders to a different location to save yourself from downloading all the games again.

Default Location:
c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common "




if link doesn't work studdogs suggestion to reinstall steam will probably be needed.

Yes cg you can use a knife, however takes more skill in this game then cod and if you go against a Max unit, it is no a wise decision.
