Last Sunday me and my buddy Harold drove south to the Belgian city Mons to see the happening called Tanks in Town. See: http://www.tanksintown.be
It started with a huge parade of over 150 (mainly) WWII vehicles and motorbikes.
In the afternoon a re-enactment took place of a battle between American troops, supported by Belgian resistance, and the German troops.
It was most impressive to see the dedication and enthusiasm of the people participating. Also we finally got to hold authentic WWII weapons, the ones we have been running around in COD1, 2 and 5, like BAR, Springfield, Thompson and Garand! That was a great experience, bearing in mind that even plastic replicas of guns (like BB guns) are strictly forbidden here in Holland and carrying or even possessing one could bring you in a court of law!
