Best way to install it is to

1) Get MozBackup from here: http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/download.php

2) Backup your current Firefox setup (bookmarks, extensions etc) using MozBackup

3) Uninstall Firefox

4) Install the new beta

5) Restore all your settings using MozBackup

All set...

Just an FYI for others, when you go to restore your settings with MozBackup, it will try to default to a file with the new version of firefox as the filename... You will need to change this, but it should be the only other *.pcv file in you documents directory... In my case, it wanted to load "Firefox 3.5b4 (en-US) - 2009-04-28.PCV", and told me that the backup was not found or was corrupted... I had to select "Firefox 3.0.10 (en-US) - 2009-04-28.PCV" and everything was flawless...
