A wife texting
A wife being the romantic sort, sent her husband a text.............
"If you are sleeping, send me your dreams.
If you are laughing, send me your smile.
If you are eating, send me a bite.
If you are drinking, send me a sip.
If you are crying, send me your tears.
I love you."
He replied........"I am on the toilet. What should I do?"

So I recently took up the hobby of hiking and traveling. Ever since I got my car mid-last year. For a while, I was sort of deprived of something, and I think what that something was, was adventure. I got sick of living in the city, I suppose, and now that I have a car and a select few friends, we've sort of made it a passion to travel now. Thought I share some photos of our most recent adventures here.
Enchanted Rock is our most recent adventure. This picture is about a month old. This is just before we began the climb to the second-highest point of the park.
This is after we got to the top of that point, and looking north-east to the highest point, the hill right next to us. Looking at the people already at the top, you should get an idea of how big this place is, lol.
A picture my sister took of my buddy and I as we ascend! I'm the one with the military-style pack and the Texas flag on the back.
I like to take a picture of my destination before I reach it, then one after I reach it. This is Turkey Peak. Not the tallest point at Enchanted Rock, but it rewards you with quite a view when you get to the top.
This is the view looking north (I believe) after you reach the top of Turkey Peak.
Some cool rock formations I saw while we hiked the area.
And after we finished, we sat at the highest point and watched the sunset. No better way to end the day.
We are making plans to go even farther now. I'd like to go west and see the mountains, and the deserts. Never seen a mountain before, so I'm looking forward to that. I really want to make this a life-long hobby.

Also congrats on the hiking and exploring, its the best feeling ever getting to that point on the trail that you finally realized hell i just did something awesome today. Even more so when you know you still have that summit to reach. I have this mountain to scale in the next year or so, i wanted to do it this year but going on vacation with family. Highest in the Canadian rockies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Robson" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sounds like a plan! Dude, that's a wicked mountain. I'm hoping to start really making hiking a part of my life. There's just no better way to get your head together and think than to get as far away from the cities and just take a nice long walk. I'm trying to make plans with my buddy so we can have an entire week to go hike some new places. Texas has a lot of awesome places to check out. But it is just the greatest feeling in the world to get up high, observe the view and take in the incredible silence. Nothing beats it, nothing.
After that, I'm hoping to see the Grand Canyon. I'm ready to hike that monster!

My buddy and I as we climbed Turkey Peak. We came to what appeared to be a dead end, and he was going to try and literally scale his way up, but I told him that was a very, very bad idea. Told him all we need to do is keep walking around the hill and we'll eventually find a path up to the top, and sure enough, we did.
My sister and I at a Canyon Lake party. This was almost two years ago, I think.
Took this picture in Port Aransas at Corpus Christi. I took it sitting on the jetty and watching the sunrise. This was the first time I ever saw the ocean, and it was definitely something to remember.

Going skiing tomorrow gonna be a blast, listening to some t.s.o.l to pump me up a bit. We are going up Castle mountain doing some snowcat skiing or catskiing as some say. instead of ski lifts you get to the top via snowcat, alot of nice back country runs out there. http://youtu.be/XkU9D0EFQCo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
