Don't know if anyone is a fan, but Coldplay is due to release their new album: Viva La Vida in June. Reviewers are saying it might be the "album of the decade". We will see. Here is a pre-released cut from the CD:

ftp://uzaeagle.no-ip.info/Coldplay_Viva_La_Vida.mp3

Lyrics:

Viva La Vida
Coldplay

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead, long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you'd go there was never,
never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever wanna be king

I hear Jerusalem bells were ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs were singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know St. Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Here Jerusalem bells were ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs were singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know St. Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Thanks for the upload, Eagle. The song isn't that bad. The Coldplay iTunes commercial is always playing.

Do like their originality... would be hard to top their latest though.. as i think that song sounds a little too much like Frances pop star Alizee! Laughing

Thx for the up.

Be interesting to see if they bring the 100 piece orchestra on tour with them to do Viva La Vida the way it is on the album... Wink

They probably will. Most likely not the same one for the whole entire tour. Probably hire the main orchestra from each city.

Wonder if it would be cheaper / more efficient to bring a good sized orchestra on tour or to spend the money to go to each town early and train an entire orchestra to play the songs they have never heard...

I assume they don't need to train them. They're professionals. They should easily be able to play that music right off the bat.
