Helping out the Town is nice.......

But not when you jump out of a truck to throw some sandbags and you end up with an ambulance ride to the emergency room with the possibility of breaking your leg at the knee with a small piece of bone that broke off of my kneecap when i went down. Friday I have to go to the specialist to make sure it really isnt broken.

The worst thing was that when i got to the hospital the doctor prescribed me some pain medication and the nurse never gave it to me. So when I went into xray I had to lay my knee as flat as possible and i tried my best to keep quiet but when you are shaking from the pain I just wanted to hit the guy lol. So right now I have 2 hours of sleep from the pain medication my mom gave me and now my knee feels like its the size of a basketball. They tried to put a knee immobilizer on my knee over my jeans i was wearing but they just bunched up so i have just an ace bandage and a lot of pain.

As one who has suffered, and still does to some degree, knee pain, I sympathize as well as empathize. I hope it proves to be less serious than you think.

By the way, does this mean you'll be easier to shoot on the server? I'm just saying... Rolling Eyes

Ay leg injurys, i wrecked my knee some time ago, and i still have constant pain it it, hope yours dosent get that.

Right now less than 48 hours later my knee feels better but I still cannot walk on it. It feels like i have something in my knee that when I put pressure on it when walking with my crutches it feels like a stabbing pain. But thats more than what I could do when it happened so maybe it will be better without surgery.

Yea buddy, I feel for ya and Lava Soap ain't gonna help. Be patient with it, might try rubbing some alcohol on yer oral cavitiy. Don't be going to no knee slapping rockabilly festivities fer a while. As a graduate of the Festus School of Limping Around Saloons, ya just gotta foller the Docs advice and get that thought of Remedy by Amputation right on outta here. Also, the local newspaper might be interested in doing a followup story on the medical care for the city volunteers.
