What is this world coming to?! Shocked I don't know much about the court systems of other countries, let alone our own. (Enough to stay out of it Cool ) I'd have to say this would be a dark spot for the Canadian court system. Talk about frivolous law suet's! Shocked

Good Lord! The inmates are indeed running the asylum.

Don't think that can't/won't happen here. We already see courts stepping in if a parent spanks their child. After all, that's abuse, isn't it? At the same time the courts want to hold parents more accountable for the misbehavior of their children, they also want to prosecute parents for punishing their child. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Quick, get me some duct tape, I think my head's going to explode!!! Shocked Shocked Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Ive seen it in our court systems , that on alot of times when a child is rebellious to one parent, you only have to look at the other parent to find out who's telling them what to do. It happens alot when parents are separated. One wants to be the kids friend and not the parent. My big question is why it doesn't say what Mom thinks. I would bet she helped this kid with the suit against Dad. And I think it should be a crime NOT to disipline your children.... Then I won't have to deal with them when they are adults.

Technology is growing at an awesome pace, knowledge is increasing by leaps and bounds, yet we still keep producing some of the stupiest leaders and judges (and youths). It just proves that wisdom and knowledge are not always together. I always say: Knowledge tells you that you have a booger in your nose and Wisdom tells you when to pick it! Laughing We live in a world with too many people that don't know when to pick their nose! Laughing

We really need some leaders and judges that have wisdom.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that is going to happen any time soon. So plan on seeing a lot more of these cases going to court. I would guess that the parents will end up paying the legal fees also. Shocked

This is one of those cases where the court appointed lawyer should be thrown in jail, the child should be sent to jail for a few days to see her potential future, and the judge should have immediately dismissed the case because it was really none of the court's business...
