I heard they just released guilds and such in the beta. Cannot wait till sept!

Yup. And we've started focus testing to make sure all the large scenarios can handle the huge number of peeps (Trying to avoid the embarrassment that AoC suffered, touting LARGE battles then crumbling at the frist sign of one). I originally thought there was no way it would meet the september deadline. It still might not but I bet it's close!

In case you haven't heard all the screaming on the Internet, the official release date is the 18th of Sept.
Buying a Pre-Release copy will not only get you into the open beta (You will be able to D/L on the 15th) but also get you a 3 day headstart upon release (So you'll actually start on the 15th of Sept)!
NDA is expected to be liftred next week. I will talk more about the game then.
Just to give you an idea of how pumped I am about this game, I actually took off the entire week of the 15th to play it

I was thinking about pre-ordering it, but I move in to my dorms the 15th and classes start the 18th. I don't wanna screw up right away and make a bad impression, so I'll wait till sept. and hopefully i'll have a good foot-hold.
DAMN I really wanna play it...

Well I pre-ordered it off Best-buy (had $75 gift cards). Haven't received my open beta codes. Did anyone else pre-order from Bestbuy?

Did you do it online? You could've went to the store and they give you a pre-order box that has all the codes already.
If you ordered online you should recieve an email within a few days with your beta and head start codes.

I did it online cuz i won't have a car in september cuz i'll be living on campus. So i got it shipped to me at my on-campus address. Yeah I just found out that I have to wait a couple of days before I get the email. Man, i'm super excited.

| I never played any of the warhammer series. Whats the premise of the game? Is it like most mmorpg's like WoW,AoC,GW and the like?

I will defintely be Desctruction. The server I get on will depend on my guild but I'll post it once it's announced.

Yea, for the most part but this games main focus will be on Realm vs. Realm combat. Imagine if you will a huge spralling City with literally hundreds of players in it defending an attack by another hundred or so players.
Imagine Casters and Archers sitting on top of castel walls nailing all the people down below trying to break dowen the wall with Balista's anf Battering rams.
Imagine Buckets of hot oil that can be dropped on the attacking players to help with the defense.
It's pretty intense to say the least.
But other than that, you still get the same PvE type content as well.

Seems like a lot of people will be going destruction. It will prolly be really imbalanced between the two sides. Will they force ppl to choose the side that contains less ppl in order to keep them equal in quantity?
How's your guild? Are they hardcore or casual? Is there a chance I could get in?

The guild is HUGE. They have divisions for just about every game you could imagine. They're a good mix of hardcore and casual. I could likely get you in, but you still have to go through an interview process, etc.

Yea things are a bit unbalanced, but it'll likely even out. I don't see them EVER forcing sides like that. There were way to many Horde in the WoW betas too but it eventually worked itself out.
