I thought it would be fun, and illuminating, to see what our friends are reading. As many of you know I enjoy reading so much that I have built, over many years, a very extensive library. Please make use of this thread to let us know what you are reading.

I recently finished, Intellectual Morons - How Ideology Makes Smart People Fall For Stupid Ideas, by Daniel J. Flynn from Crown Forum Publishing.

I am currently reading, Preachers of Hate - Islam and the War on America, by Kenneth R. Timmerman, also from Crown Forum Publishing.

I have McCullough's 1776 on my list of books to read. What is it that those three women have in common? I know Carly dated James Taylor, did the other two?

Well you might think I'm a moron, but I really enjoy the writings of Anne Rice. Granted it's fiction but hey at least I'm reading right??

I'd have to kill you if I told you, Cynic!

No, seriously, It is a great book on the power of the mind. I use "The Secret" daily, and it has brought me some success in the past four weeks already! Cool

I recently re-read a wonderful book called "To Rule the Waves - How the British Navy Shaped the Modern World" by Arthur Herman. Sounds like a dry read, but really, really well written and brings the heroes of British naval history (John Hawkins, Francis Drake, Queen Elizabeth and The Spanish Armada, Nelson at Trafalgar) to life. I highly recommend it.

Yes I did ...it was very well done I thought . Took me a while to get used to the actor they cast as Adams. For some reason I kept expecting him to do comedy. Razz

He certainly wasn't the "leading man" type, but then if you look at contemporary portraits of Adams, he was in fact no "leading man" type himself... Wink

That is true..in fact I think his wife was the brains of the operation. At least, she surely influenced his life in a positive way ....wonder if in real life she was a nag? Smile

Well today I finished reading the mail. Talk about a brain teaser. ESPN the magazine had a great article on how to improve your batting speed. Awsome read. I just finished reading an article in Todays Hunter on how to gut a pig. Very interesting. I will keep you informed when my next magazine comes in. Well maybe not all my magazine's. Twisted Evil
