Pictures I took 2004 - 2008 |
|
|
I promised some of you that I would post the pictures that I took to the first session of my photography course, last Thursday.
I took these pictures myself, over the past four, five years. The cameras I used: Canon PowerShot S50 and Nikon D70s. I use a polarizing filter on the Nikon quite often.
You can tell I love nature, and colours.
Old shed in Montesqieu des Albères, Southern France, June 2006
USMC Memorial, Arlington, Virginia, USA, May 2006
The Mall, Washington DC, USA, May 2006
Near the Église de Sacré Coeur, Paris France, October 2004
Eiffel Tower, Paris France, October 2004
Death Valley, California, USA, August 2006
Red Canyon, Utah USA, August 2006
Bryce Canyon, Utah USA, August 2006
Winter scenery in Holland, about 400 yards from where I live. View on the village Zegge. December 22, 2007 Does anybody see snow?
Humming Birds, Mount Carmel Junction, Utah USA, August 2006
Some pictures taken in my back yard, summer 2007
View on Alcatraz, California, USA, August 2006
This next picture was taken by me (while driving!) somewhere in California between San Francisco and Yosemite National Park, August 2006.
Museù Dalí, Figueras, Spain, June 2008
Mediterranean coast, near Collioure, France, June 2008
USMC Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery Virginia, May 2006
Detail of one of the many statues in Parc Guell, (by Antoni Gaudí) Barcelona, Spain, June 2007
Detail of flower parade in Rucphen, Holland, September 2007
Kinderdijk, Holland, September 14, 2008
Domain Raversijde (Atlantikwall), Oostende, Belgium, July 2008
And finally some pictures from a few markets in Southern France, June / July 2008

Really good photos Amok. You are dead on with your exposures, particularly the helmets with the blue skies and colorful bricks. I see an engineer's eye a tad in the Eiffel Tower and tree and sidewalk views which is a fun perspective. The macro rose and shot with the bee is wonderful. You have certainly seen the world. Check out Rocky Moutain School of Photography. I took and intro class and loved it. Hope to take more this year. I think they host a class in Holland as well. Keep shooting!

Thank you all for your comments!
To F8: No I do not have a web album, yet. I might do that though.
To VS: I have indeed seen many beautiful places in the world, too many to name (I even went to Nederland, CO ) ! I checked out the RMSP website, but could not find anything in the area where I live. I will finish this first course though, and might do the Advanced one after.

Check out Phanfare for web hosting. It's $54 a year and all you do is drop and drag into albums for instant slideshows.
