COD 2 and Vista Home Edition. |
I need some help comp techs. I have Windows Vista Home Edition (32) on this Machine. I've been up grading this Machine so I can play the higher end games comming out (COD4 and 5) The Specs for this computer atm are 3.33 ghz proc. 1.5g mem, 250g HD. Don't have a video card for this one yet but one is otw, but I do have atm a Radeon x1550 256mb PCI. The one in the mail otw is a PCI-E Geforce 7900 gt. My problem is, everytime I try to load up COD 2 I keep getting an error stateing "COD2MP_s.exe has stopped working". I have gone to the compatibility settings and changed it to run as an administrator and compatibility mode (tried all of em 95, 98, xp/me) If anyone has had this problem before or know how to fix this please let me know. Thank again
L.S.

yes I did, and that wasnt the problem. I just figured it out about 10mins ago lol. Somehow my HD Sound System on this comp got deleted and not having that HD Sound System was messing it up. I used my Driver Detective and updated all my driver plus sound and now its working. I still have to wait for the PCI-E Video Card to come so I can play the games though. Thank you for trying to help Bullet and anyone else who read my post and was thinking what it could be....
