That wind was so cold....felt like it was biting your skin. |
Well, if you wore a shirt it wouldn't be so bad!

Lmao, dont ever come here, -21c is really the average winter temp around here, between -15c to -28c i would say, January in is usually in the -30's, get the odd week of -40c to -50c even.

The lowest temps in Holland that I remember (and I have been around for quite some time ) is -16C. But that was when I was in high school, about 30 years ago!
A white Christmas? I only remember the one in 1984.
I just love extremes, had +52C in Death Valley in August 1997, and -28C in Boston early February 2005.
But -40 or -50C that is awesome! I would be ice skating every single day!

I don't mind when it gets really cold, but with a windchill on top of that...that wind hurts.
One winter it was -76C for a few days, you don't breathe when you are outside...if you have to go out.
Perfect hot chocolate weather.

I would have to say the coldest weather I've been in was back in 94 or 95 I don't remember which. We had a nasty Alberta Clipper rush in over the night and I went out icefishing the next day. The warmest it got that day was -22 F. The wind was comming out of the north around 20mph sustain with gust up to 45mph. I was in a portable fish shanty but my heater and lantern didn't help at all. I stayed out for about 4 to 5 hours. I did catch fish for my dinner for the next few nights. It was a cold but I love that type of weather. I can't wait till the lakes freeze over again and head back out.
