What is Obama's problem? |
|
|
I don't understand why Obama is even letting this question go on!
Why will he not show proof of his US citizenship?
How difficult is it to give up all the requested info?
I would say a zillion times easier than running the country!
I just don't understand. If there is any question, then just give up all the requested documents and put it to rest. Otherwise this just leaves an impression of lying. This guy is going to be president and isn't mature enough to just give the info and put the debate to rest! He is proving himself to be a divider and not a uniter.
I guess it just goes to show that the politicians really don't consider the contitution to be important and that they feel citizens are just to low class to give a respectable answer to.
It will be interesting to see what the Supreme Court does with all the requests regarding this.
"If he were my client and this question came up in civil litigation, if there was some reason that his birth status was relevant and the other side wanted him to produce the thing and he said 'no,' I would tell him, 'you have about 15 minutes to produce it or sign the papers necessary to produce the document, or I'm resigning as your attorney," said Mr. Vieira. "I don't think any ethical attorney would go ahead on the basis that his client could produce an objective document in civil litigation [and refused to do so]."
-Edwin Vieira, a constitutional lawyer

There are always these kinds of pointless "nitpick" arguments in politics. Thank goodness they never amount to anything and people just ignore them, since it's a knife that cuts both ways and it would make us the laughing stock of the world.
* John McCain can't be President since he was born in the Canal Zone.
* Hillary Clinton can't be Secretary of State since she voted for a raise for the office while she was a Senator.
Obama doesn't need to prove a thing. If someone thinks he doesn't meet the qualifications for office, prove it, take it to court (you will find that the Supreme Court will find that nobody has "standing" to bring the case) and get our democratic election overturned. This would be great for our country.
Don't like Obama's politics much, but he was elected fair and square. Time to move on. Sure am glad the Dems didn't also get a 60 vote majority in the Senate though. Then it might be time to move to Holland and bunk in with Amok.

I'm not saying he is or isn't a citizen. I'm just surprised the issue is still going on and headed to the Supreme Court.
I think he should just give the critics what they want to shut them up. To not do so, just gives the impression he is hiding something. It does make me wonder, but I'm still ticked that he won't pledge an allegiance to our flag and the people that it represents.

Wait a minute!
Will nitpicking get rid of the politicians???
Please explain why this would be a bad thing!
I say we nitpick them all out and start fresh.
Seriously, I do wish we held them to higher standards moral and financially.

My point is that this will NEVER in a million years get to the Supreme Court. First they will never ever grant cert on something this silly, and in any case it has already been well established that nobody has "standing" to bring a case involving this stuff to the court. It's just line noise and pablum for the talking heads, and a waste of time.

The country is full of crooks out to make a buck... the easiest buck to nab is the unregulated government dollar. Look at FEMA and all the other organizations that just write a check when asked without any oversight.
On a good note, Obama is grabbin' up a lot of Republicans to toss in office. Maybe something will happen after all to benefit a tad little wee bit. Wont be noticed though as there is a lot of other crap happening that Obama wont be able to touch even if he managed 2 terms.
