Do not buy an Alienware computer |
|
|
Hi all, I wanted to tell everyone not to buy an Alienware computer. I bought one 3 years ago and I have had a lot of trouble with it since I got it. Well it gave up the ghost last week and I had to order a new one. I purchased a Cyberpowerpc, 6 years ago and it is still operating just fine for my son. So I went back to them and this is the new computer that I ordered, it should be ready Tuesday morning.
CyberpowerPc is rated very high according to many PC magazines, and since the last one I ordered 6 years ago is still operating just fine, I can attest to its quality. I spent over $4,000.00 on the Alienware computer, and I did not spend even close to that for my new computer.
I have been going thru DDT's withdrawl from not playing any games for almost a week now. Anyway I look forward to killing you all again soon.

Don't forget everyone,..... I still have a reseller agreement with Dell.
If you are a clan member I will sell it at my cost.
If you are not in the clan, but you are a server regular I only add $100 to my cost. If you are none of the above I mark it up 30%-40%

With tax and after rebates, it's under $2,500.00.

Way to go Hogie. I was wondering about the reliability of the fancy (schmancy) Alienware produts. However, I am concerned about this systems' cooling. Both of the video cards put out a lot of heat and the systems I have been seeing all have an internal cooling system, (but they cost a lot more). Cooling is necessary for longevity? F8

Got it finally and it is hard getting used to Vista instead of XP, but it seems to be running like a champ!
