This will affect the COD2 server.
This alert is to inform you about hardware upgrades that will be done in our Dallas Datacenter. The details regarding the hardware that the servers will be upgrading to is located here: http://forums.gameservers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33348 As part of the hardware upgrade, GameServers is also moving to an upgraded datacenter which includes a network overhaul of the location. This effort has been deemed necessary in order to satisfy the continually increasing demand for the GameServers Dallas location. How does this affect you as a Dallas Customer: 1) During the file migration process, a snapshot of your server files will be transferred onto the new servers. During this period of time, your current server will continue to be up and running. Please keep in mind that any changes to your server files after files have been transferred will have to be redone when the move is 100% complete 2) As part of this move, your IP address will remain the same. However, during the IP migration process, your subscription will experience an outage until the routing of your IP is completely switched over. We will make best efforts to keep the downtime to a minimum. Current estimates are 30 mins to complete the migration of the IP to the new location. The scheduled date for this work effort is set to start on February 24th with all servers scheduled to be completely migrated over before the 1st of March.
