took the plunge and installed vista ultimate, and office 2007.
very functional, much more usability than xp pro.
I have had a bit of lag trouble with cod2, but my game play always sucked to the point where i really didn't care.
I changed the connection from lan/cable to isdn, or what ever that was and my lag went away.
I have had the same version of xp (sp1) on since xpsp1 came out. Sometimes having something new to look at is very important, besides a lot of functionality, all the vista eye candy shizzle is kewl.
The tweakability of outlook 2007, is awesome, and it syncs right up with my palm, I use a bluetooth connection for syncing, and it installed my bluetooth adapter flawlessly.
The only downfall so far is the lack of any zonealarm support, I like ZA basic, and the ability to install stand alone ati drivers.
All the other programs/hardware I use work just fine. No bluescreens, or other issues.
1 gig of pc 3200, an x800xl, and a amd 3200.
I bet if I upgraded to 2 gigs, a dx10 card (faster, more memory), and a amd 4000+ it would just scream, but i do not care all that much anymore about the latest greatest.
Then again that punk bitch meat hose smacked me like five time today.
Is it worth 500 bucks to get smacked only three times a day by that card carrying boo basher?

if it bothers you that much you better play half a map a day !
it will make the game looking better with some upgrading , but people will still poon ya 
good to see you have cod2 back up and running !
just wondering , what problem did you have with vent ?
(you've seen the ventrilo patch that supports singing ? )
