I finally five starred Carry Me Home on hard and unlocked the Guitarmageddon achievement and the Eyeball guitar. It's time to take a break.

Yeah Carry Me Home was tough for me, but I haven't five starred it yet either. I've been going back and trying to play all the songs in Medium "perfect" and get five gold stars. Then I go play Expert and try to get past some of those... . Trogdor still makes me laugh everytime though...

You will get there....I was the same way. Actually playing the Medium will help your easy game. You will get used the faster pace of Medium and Easy will seem like a snail's pace. I can't play Easy mode anymore because it is so slow I usually hit the note to early... If you are playing GH2, be sure to unlock "Jordan" by Buckethead. The jsut for kicks try it on Expert....

Is that last comment some kind of sick joke...
I think I'm going to be stuck at 57% for all eternity.
Anyway, CMOS, we all were really terrible at the very beginning. It's just a matter of playing the game and you'll work your way up. It's really weird at how it comes along. You'll be stuck on a song for a few days and so you'll just quit. All of a sudden you get some confidence and come in and kill the song. It's not like any other game I've ever played, but that is a really good thing.

The new Gibson les Paul for Guitar Hero III.
I think it looks sweet, and I think I may see a kill switch back there which would be extrememly fun to play Buckethead songs with it.

My friend Does that song like it is on easy lol, he is so good at the game and he dosent even own it, he just plays it some times at one of my friends house
He does play the guitar in real life tho lol, maybe that has somthing to do with it |
Maybe it wasn't on Expert. There are songs where you can come to memorise it...Cowboys From Hell (Guitar Hero 1) for instance...but if you play it on Slowest in practice mode, you can see how the hammer-on's/pull-off's overlap. If it wasn't for that, I could easily beat the song.
Sorry for the late reply, I just stumbled upon the topic again since someone bumped it.
To all of you stuck on a song--go to Practice, play it on whatever difficulty you're on, and try it on slowest. Get 90%+, move on to slower. Again, 90%+, go to slow, 90%+, go to full speed. That is the only way to beat those harder songs on harder difficulties (Psychobilly Freakout, Jordan, Six, Light That Blinds)

I'm freakin' shaking right now. I hit the blue note of freedom on Jordan and I almost froze. I got so nervous that I was going to lose the song after the hard part, but I managed to hold on and beat it. I thought I was going to hyperventilate in those last few seconds. It took me probably close to 100 tries, but I finally beat that beast. I'm going to take a break now...

I'd like to let everyone know that they are currently four song packs available for GHII on 360. They are songs from the original GH. Some are fun and some are pretty boring.
Also, if you go to google videos and type in Guitar Hero III, there are quite a few videos from the new game. There's even a video of the new battle system in which you take Slash one on one in an original piece by Slash himself made specifically for Guitar Hero III. Looks like it's going to be fun.

That would take a while to 100% it. I don't play it too much and my highest is like 80-something.

New content is out for GHII download.
I had been awaiting this day for awhile, but my heart sunk when I saw the song choices.
It's a three pack of My Chemical Gaymance songs.
Screw it. Definately not blowing any money to hear a whiney voice and play the same chords over and over and over and...
