General news for CoD4 |

Apparently according to a live feed interview from Gamespot with the developers of CoD4, they said today that there will be vehicles and a new customization system for multiplay. The closest equavilent being the kit choices on BF2 I suppose. The system is called Perks.
You can basically customize your character to suit the gametype. Like playing Capture the Flag you would benefit from faster sprint or whatever but will sacrifice health points for example. Team deathmatch you would be better for faster reload and hit points but you would not get as much stamina or something. The aim is to balance out the system. It's something new but the vehicles may not please some. The new footage they showed (on Xbox360) looked great and the weapons sounded and looked great. The multiplayer will be modified with what was mentioned above and other modes etc
As far as single player goes, it is actually a fully fledged single player. About 2 teams as I understand. One of which being SAS and the other I think either an American or Russian force. Not completely sure. But the SAS team and there missions are based in the middle east trying to assassinate a leader of a group of well I guess, terrorists. Just your average storyline I suppose but the footage looked great. Snipers are able to hide in grass and the A.I seemed quite good too.
As far as system requirements for PC they didn't say due to the footage being shown from the Xbox360. But I am sure it will be much higher than CoD2

Last I heard was mid November.
Honestly, I wouldn't expect it to make it until EARLY 2008. I sure hope they polish it up this time unlike that turd CoD 2 when it first came out.
