Tribute to Michael Schumacher - Brasil 2006 - The last race |
|
|
For those into Formula One racing or just for those who like to go fast here was the last race of one of the greats. Watch as the laps tick down from 71 and as the competition drops one by one. Watch as he pushes his Ferrari Formula One through traffic in four wheel drifts, interlocking and even blowing tires, completely amazing. Its 11 mins but as always the best driving is always at the end.
Gratzie Michael!

Dude, I watched that race live. It was some of his best driving ever.
I've followed his career since before his first race for 7up Jordan back in the day and since he's retired F1 just isn't the same.
I went to the race at Indy and comparing it to the two races I've been to there that Michael won, it was just a little boring actually - can't believe I said that.
Thanks for the post.

Nice post VirginSacrifice - I've been watching F1 since the mid 70's.
He was one of the best - no doubt. However, he also pulled two of the dirtiest moves I've ever seen any driver in all my years of racing.
Remember the two incidents in which I'm referring? One was the 05 Monaco GP when he stopped his car on the track to prevent Alonso from taking the pole; and 94 at the Australian GP when Schumi turned into Damon Hill, taking them both out of the race, and thereby securing the championship. Both incidents were true chickens**t moves.

Like DB7, I to watched that race live. Schumi is a great driver but like everyone else has said, he did have his fair share of dirty incidents. Pitt, I also remember that bullsh*t that Schumi pulled during qualifying at Monaco with causing his own "incident" to force qualifying to end early and prevent Alonso from taking his precious pole. As we all know, 99.9% of the time, the guy who gets the pole on a street course, wins the race. That's one of the reasons I never liked Monaco. Sure it's a scenic track and whatnot but the lack of passing bores me. And don't forget the race where Ferrari told Ruebens Barrichello to pull over and let Michael win the race...
